In this exclusive interview with Commercial Integrator, Rob Meiner of Peerless-AV discusses the continuing ascendance of DVLED displays. Moreover, Meiner, who serves as technical engineer with the AV solutions leader, emphasizes the criticality of proper mounting. Peerless-AV makes, of course, a range of solutions that spans from integrated kiosks and DVLED and LCD videowall mounts to outdoor displays and TVs, as well as carts and stands.
From the outset, Meiner puts his finger on a key driver in DVLED’s ongoing growth. “I feel that the continued rise of LED is being driven by advancements in the all-in-one design that’s currently making inways into the market,” he opines. “It’s making LED more accessible for all integrators, and it’s still visually stunning at those close distances.” In particular, Meiner points to increasingly attractive indoor applications in boardrooms, retail, control rooms and more. He also touches on the benefits of bezel-free DVLED as compared to tiled LCD.
DVLED Success Depends on Mounting Solutions, Peerless-AV Observes
Later in the conversation, Meiner underscores that, without a high-quality mounting solution, DVLED videowalls cannot succeed. As Meiner puts it, “What I can truly recommend is engage with manufacturers early, particularly those like Peerless-AV who offer engineering support and custom mount solutions.” He adds that it is critical to ensure a precise mounting structure and strict code compliance in the venue/locality of installation.
In terms of great partner resources, few are more beneficial to supporting successful DVLED installations than the Peerless-AV SEAMLESS program.
