Andrew Clarkson, the senior VP of business development at Amteck Communication Management, says he does a lot of prep work before going to InfoComm. And he’s really lucky that, at this past year’s show, he planned to visit AtlasIED.
“I have challenges or opportunities already mapped out in my mind of what I need to get done,” he said. “We’ve used AtlasIED products over the years, but I wasn’t intimately familiar with them.”
Thankfully, he connected with them at the show, because doing so led to him winning a brand new motorcycle.
He didn’t expect it
“When the asked me if I wanted to enter to win the motorcycle, I said ‘sure!'” Later, on the last day of the show, he’d already gone home… and then he got the call.
The AtlasIED employees at the booth drew his ticket, read his name aloud, and when nobody in the crowd answered, they decided to call him.
“You’ve gotta be [expletive] me!” you can hear him say in the video above. We don’t blame him for swearing.
“Since winning the bike, I’ve gotten to know some of the people at AtlasIED,” Clarkson said. “The products and the customer service also helped!”
If there’s one piece of technology Clarkson says he was most interested in and has the most potential to impact his business, it’s the AtlasIED SHS concealed speaker.

“I’m always looking for something that is going to get a customer a little more closely aligned with us, something that’s unique. I’ve actually shown the SHS around to customers.”
The speaker features a hidden form, ease of installation, and a lower price point for corporate clients. Learn more about it here.
