The holiday season is upon us, which means in just a few short months we’ll be hearing a lot about digital signage as Digital Signage Expo (DSE) approaches. This year’s tradeshow, co-located with the Digital Content Show, is scheduled for March 15-18, 2016 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The tradeshow, which is known for its dedication to digital displays, interactive technology and digital communications networks, announced that its four-part Digital Signage Seminar Program intended for pro AV/IT systems integrators will include an hour-long session entitled, “Why It Seems Customers Don’t Listen and Why They Fail.”
Presented by Theresa Robbins, owner of Axcess Video Corporation, the session will detail steps to employing digital signage messaging, from the early planning stages to design and implementation. DSE Advisory Board members recently had the opportunity to comment on this topic.
“The unexpected thing we learned in our most recent digital signage project was the amount of time needed to manage the installation process in order to successfully deploy and maintain digital menu boards.” —Jorge de la Parra, IT Systems Manager, Jack in the Box
“I knew there were regulations and ordinances in place for outdoor digital signage, but I was surprised at the amount of research that had to be done.” —Mark Geiger, Associate Director of Marketing & Business Development, Georgia World Congress Center
“During a recent install, we unexpectedly learned that a relatively important component of our digital signage product, a specially sized digital display, might not be available in the quantities needed.” —David Saleme, Manager of Business Development, Columbia Regional Airport Authority
