Visix was just named to Inc.’s annual Best Workplaces list. That list, of course, honors 543 American companies that have excelled in creating exceptional workplaces and company cultures. Honorees emerge from thousands of applicants operating in physical or virtual facilities. According to Visix, its inclusion on the full list, as well as special recognition in the Micro and Southeast Region categories, highlights its enduring commitment to both its values and its people.
According to Inc. editor-in-chief Mike Hofman, “Each year, Inc.’s Best Workplaces program recognizes the very best in terms of companies that have fostered a truly amazing culture.” He continues, “We use hard metrics and data, as well as qualitative measures for judging, in order to find the very best — and we’re proud that the program is highly selective.”
Employee Survey, Benefits Assessment Power Visix to Inc.’s Best Workplaces List
Each nominated company participated in an employee survey, which Quantum Workplace conducted, as well as a benefits assessment. Visix’s benefits scored 6% higher than the average that same-sized finalists earned. The survey included topics such as management effectiveness, perks, methods of fostering employee growth and overall company culture. Its results indicated the number of highly engaged employees at Visix was 5% higher than the national average for same-sized companies. Moreover, it was 8% higher than all other software finalists.
For Sean Matthews, Visix president and CEO, the Best Workplaces recognition is deeply meaningful. He explains, “We’ve always understood that you can’t provide exceptional customer service if your own people aren’t happy.” Matthews adds, “Our priority is to attract, retain and motivate a talented team of creative, innovative people, and to give them the tools and opportunities to shine.”
Matthews reflects on the fact that the Visix team went through a pretty substantial transition, going from an in-office to a hybrid workforce over the past several years. “And it’s tremendous that we haven’t degraded the close-knit culture and family-feeling community we’ve built over four decades in business,” he declares.
