Promoting from within: the dream that pro AV industry employers hope for but aren’t always lucky enough to pull off, often because of poaching. The biggest challenge for integration firms right now is finding good people — any recent review of AV news demonstrates this.
Investments in ecosystems, people and building a “learning culture” seems to help integrators get out of competitive hiring wars. And when you’re a large company like Leyard Planar, it’s all the more important to set an example for manufacturers and integrators alike.
Leyard Planar announced two new account managers for their growing North American sales team: Jeffrey Reiss will manage accounts in the South West and John Bailey will manage Northeast accounts. [related]
Reiss will be based out of Phoenix and be responsible for the company’s sales efforts for Nevada and Arizona. He has ten years of sales and account management experience in the Pro AV industry, including work for Ford Audio-Video and Audio Video Resource.
Bailey been with Leyard and Planar for five years and is an experienced AV professional with expertise in LED video wall display technology. He has been involved in the design and installation of the company’s most complex and highest-profile LED video wall projects across the USA.
Ricoh has similar designs: they’ve announced that Joji Tokunaga — who was their VP of Shared Services — has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Ricoh in the Americas.
Tokunaga will spearhead the North America team’s efforts to bring the global RICOH Ignite growth strategy to its customers and Ricoh Family Group (RFG) dealer partners.
