On the heels of a successful showing at ISE show in Barcelona, HETMA Gold Partner LAIA Technologies will be demonstrating the company’s three PTZ camera lines in southern California April 2 to 3. The first of the LAIA-exclusive demo events will take place in Irvine on April 2, 2025. The second will be in Los Angeles on April 3, 2025. To schedule an appointment at the Irvine event, click here. “Both the specs and the real-world performance of the cameras are getting huge attention,” says Gary Plavin, President, LAIA Technologies North America. “We showed AV integrators, and corporate and higher ed users, the product over the winter, and the reception has been amazing.”
LAIA’s Founding Partner, George “Red” Fournier, who brings to LAIA deep experience in the AV industry as an integrator and former chair of the AVIXA Integrators Council, adds, “They’re impressed by the smoothness of the auto-tracking. And they’re even more impressed by the business case: they’re all astonished at how much time, headache, and money they can save in integration costs – compared to what they’re used to expending to get a high level PTZ camera system up and running. [Users] quickly realize they don’t need expensive add-ons to integrate with their collaboration ecosystems.”
LAIA New PTZ Camera Lines for Versatile Conference and Broadcast Solutions
Three PTZ camera lines from LAIA are now available to American customers: C-Pro, Broadcaster and Broadcaster Pro. The LAIA C-Pro 4K AI camera stands out for its versatile system compatibility, enabled by multiple connection interfaces and control protocols.
The device features real-time AI-based tracking for speakers and presenters, supported by unique ISP processing technology, algorithms and a 12X optical zoom. It is designed to suit medium and large conference rooms. Additionally, its 1/2.8-inch CMOS sensor delivers 4K resolution at 30fps and up to 60fps, ensuring smooth video quality. The autofocus technology further enhances performance, even with moving presenters.
The LAIA Broadcaster 4K AI is a key product in the Broadcaster line, offering a range of interfaces designed for compatibility in diverse videoconferencing setups. With a 4K resolution at 30fps, it is well-suited for large videoconferencing rooms. The camera is NDI (HX2) licensed and features a PTZ design, making it particularly adaptable for live broadcasts in larger spaces like auditoriums. Its 300X hybrid zoom provides the flexibility needed for maintaining high image quality, mobility, and precise shot adjustments in dynamic environments.

LAIA Broadcast Pro Cameras
New for the market this year, LAIA is introducing a new family of Broadcaster Pro cameras, designed to meet the growing technical needs in high-demand professional applications. These include corporate AV broadcast facilities, higher education facilities, TV production rooms, auditoriums, houses of worship, judicial facilities, and sports arenas. Each camera in LAIA Broadcaster Pro family line features a 1/1.8-inch CMOS sensor, delivering 4K resolution at 60 fps and 25x optical zoom. Connectivity options include multiple interfaces such as HDMI, DUAL 12G-SDI / 3G-SDI, USB 3.0 and LAN. Depending on the model, the cameras come with NDI or Dante licenses, providing low latency and consistent image quality for reliable, uninterrupted transmissions.
A central feature of LAIA’s camera offerings is the AI Cam Control (AICC) software, which simplifies integration tasks such as speaker tracking, multi-image layout management and adding logos to outputs. Additionally, the Intelligent Audio Visual Systems (IAVS) software utilizes advanced APIs to enable seamless operation of LAIA cameras with third-party AV components, including beamforming microphones from brands like Nureva, Shure, and Sennheiser for audio tracking and other functions. These tools are designed to lower integration costs while maintaining high functionality.
