Crestron Electronics announced updates to its tariff surcharge policy, effective May 1, 2025. This adjustment reflects the company’s response to the evolving landscape of international tariff regulations. Starting on May 1, a 5% tariff surcharge will be applied to all invoices issued by Crestron Electronics, Inc., based in the United States.
The surcharge will specifically apply to the total gross amount of hardware items listed on invoices, prior to any discounts, sales tax or shipping charges. The new charge will not affect services or software subscription costs, Crestron said in a statement. Crestron emphasizes that, like the global policies prompting this adjustment, the surcharge rate and application may evolve.
Crestron said in a statement its remains committed to maintaining a transparent communication strategy. Any future changes to the surcharge policy will be relayed through Crestron’s Pro Portal and order confirmations, ensuring customers remain well-informed. By proactively addressing these updates, Crestron said it aims to uphold its global partnerships and minimize disruptions to its customers’ operations.
