Worldwide hotel chains and luxury resorts are relying on technology more than ever to help them meet the needs of their guests more effectively. For many hoteliers, that’s meant the adoption of artificial intelligence tools like Amazon Echo and the like.
Other resorts and chains are using iPads and other portable tablets to ensure that when a guest has a comment, question or request, there’s no time lost in getting the guest an answer or resolution that’s suitable for them.
Ahead of InfoComm 2019, Basalte announced its new Eve Plus iPad docks are now shipping. These wall and table docks are “made of high-quality finishes in a minimalist design,” according to the Basalte announcement.

About half of the respondents to the survey related to CI’s 2019 State of the Industry research say they’re doing more work in the past year in the hospitality market, while more than 40 percent say their place in the hospitality and casino markets is the same in the past 12 months as it was the prior year.
That means only about 10 percent of the CI 2019 State of the Industry respondents are seeing a downturn in the hotel space.
