Content management software provider 22Miles has announced turnkey AI customization tools that bring the power of AI to even the most secure enterprise communication applications.

AI has transformed the way we interact with content; and the latest update to the 22Miles Content Manager ensures that teams can embrace its opportunities for business intelligence, customer experiences and productivity with confidence, the company says. Additionally, AI replaces the need for searching and scrolling with a custom-trained, secure digital assistant who can ask follow-up questions, cross-reference sources and give expert responses.

AI Solutions from 22Miles

Per a statement, 22Miles debuted three new AI tools in its latest content management system (CMS) release, Content Manager Version 7.5. These include:

  • AI Assistant: a consumer-facing chat interface that can be trained to assist with anything from wayfinding to product information. It can hold meaningful customer conversations to guide visitors, customers, and travelers in retail, conferences venues, facilities and more.
  • AI Backoffice: an internal AI that recognizes user identities, tailoring responses to their specific roles and data access rights.
  • AI Command: a user-friendly CMS backend interface for quick content editing and digital signage command execution.

Joey Zhao, CEO and co-founder of 22Miles, emphasizes the transformative nature of these tools, “Our custom AI is a new paradigm in digital communication. Imagine a customer-facing chat that not only knows your brand inside out and communicates in a manner that’s indistinguishable from a live person. AI Backoffice is an indispensable ally for internal users, capable of tackling advanced queries, providing insights and helping make fast data-driven decisions.”

Main Features

According to 22Miles, AI chat capabilities bring a new level of engagement to digital signage and other corporate communications. Whether the questions are typed or spoken, in English or any other language, the AI Backoffice and AI Assistant can understand and respond to the queries. Thus, they are invaluable tools across various sectors like retail, healthcare and government services, the company adds.

AI Command is included in Content Manager 7.5, while AI Backoffice and AI Assistant are customizable system add-ons, per a statement. Content Manager 7.5 includes templates to seamlessly incorporate AI Assistant or AI Backoffice into 22Miles digital signage and apps; they can also be added to existing third-party digital signage applications, mobile apps or websites as a custom module. In either case, 22Miles says it can swiftly deploy AI Assistant or AI Backoffice to hundreds or thousands of units to create interactive experiences with very little lead time.

Turnkey AI for Advanced Applications

22Miles also states it performs extensive training, testing and post-deployment monitoring and fine-tuning to create custom AI experiences that align to a company’s exact specifications. Once training is complete, the AI is self-maintaining. Thus, customers can add or update data in the CMS without needing to make any adjustments to the AI.

“Our proprietary training produces context-aware responses that are light-years ahead of traditional search,” says Zhao. “For example, if you ask where to find coffee in an airport, you won’t just get a list of links. AI Assistant can show you vendors currently serving coffee near your gate; answer follow-up questions about their menus; show you estimated wait times; and give you directions and a map.”

Custom AI for Stringent Security Requirements

Recognizing the diverse security needs of enterprises, 22Miles offers flexible deployment options. These range from shared and proprietary cloud solutions to on-premises installations.

Per a statement, a proprietary 22Miles AI model powers on-premises solutions, while the OpenAI GPT model powers cloud-based solutions. The on-premises approach also ensures that no data ever leaves the local area network. This is especially critical for high-security data environments.

Additional CMS Capabilities

Content Manager V7.5 includes several other new features and improvements alongside the new 22Miles AI tool suite. Notable upgrades thus include:

  • New mobile wayfinding templates.
  • An Outlook plug-in for integrated room booking and meeting scheduling.
  • Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) device screensaver capabilities.
  • Teams video call capabilities for concierge kiosks.

Existing 22Miles customers and dealers can unlock these new features now by upgrading to Content Manager V7.5. Bookings for the demo are also available for the new AI tool suite, says 22Miles.
