Extron has introduced its new SF 3PT pendant speaker. [related]
The company’s latest UL listed loudspeaker features a 3-inch, full-range driver that is designed for speech reinforcement and music playback in high ceiling and open-ceiling applications.
The Anaheim, Calif.-based electronics manufacturer says that its new SF 3PT pendant loudspeaker provides professional integrators a loudspeaker solution that offers clients an architecturally clean, unobtrusive design that complements a range of environments.
“As we designed our first pendant loudspeaker, it was vital to offer an aesthetically pleasing, elegant design that blends unobtrusively into sophisticated environments, while providing integrators an efficient installation experience,” notes Casey Hall, vice president of worldwide sales and marketing, Extron.
“At preview showings for the new pendant, we received consistently positive feedback from AV system designers on the excellent sound quality we were able to achieve with a compact speaker.”

Extron ships the SF 3 PT pendant speaker with everything needed to install the product.
Included with the pendant speaker is 20 feet (6.1 meters) of PendantConnect speaker cable, which Extron explains is a hybrid product that incorporates speaker cables and a safety steel cable in a single outer jacket.
Extron points out the hybrid bundled cable enables electronics professionals to install a single cable to provide a more integrated, seamless appearance.
The company also explains the SF 3 PT pendant speaker is voiced to match its SF 3CT LP and SF 3C LP ceiling speakers to aid sonic transitions between speaker products when listeners move between drop ceilings and open ceiling areas.
