It’s difficult to imagine an integration industry event in which more market and company decision makers are in one room at that same time, as when it happens repeatedly during NSCA‘s Business & Leadership Conference.
The 17th annual event, which takes place February 26-28 in Tampa, Fla., is expected to be the largest BLC with 300-plus attendees. Here, we shed some light on some of the faces in a crowd full of thought-leaders, and why each one is attending this event.

Why is it worth your time to attend BLC?
The BLC challenges each of us to step outside of our comfort zone and experience a grass roots-type growth that can only be found by putting aside all fears of uncertainty.
The industry topics and presentations are top notch and always pushing the envelope. The peer-to-peer conversations are absolutely priceless.
When you get back to your office after BLC, what will determine if it was a successful event for you and your company?
A successful event will give you the ability to prioritize the things you need to change, to see your challenges in a different light and to set goals in a fresh and enlightening way.
The immense depth of knowledge and positive information refuels the body and the soul. Back in the office you will find a 100 percent rebirth of motivation and of the entrepreneurial spirit.
What’s a topic that you’d like to see the industry focus on more?
Unification of the trade organizations under one mission: education. I realize this is a very ambitious topic, but in order for our industry — all of it — to make it mainstream, it is going to take this type of alliance. We must unite under a common banner to educate, promote and push the industry forward.
What’s one “fun fact” about you personally that could lead to some interesting conversations over cocktails at BLC?
I find my greatest interest these days is learning, exploring and managing the “energy transfer” that occurs from individual to individual during the course of an interaction, whether that be verbal or non-verbal.
Each of us has the opportunity to have positive impact on our surroundings. I am up to the challenge. Are you?
