The Montreal, Quebec-based manufacturer Matrox Electronics Systems designs and builds a variety of professional-grade video products.
The Skinny: The latest product from the Canadian company is its Mojito 4K video card, which is now shipping.
The Specs: Matrox says its Mojito 4K quad 3G-SDI, 4K video monitoring card enables real time monitoring and output of video at resolutions up to 4,096 x 2,160 at 60fps.
“Matrox Mojito 4K offers post-production professionals a fluid editing experience with uninterrupted true 4Kp60 playback,” states Wayne Andrews, product manager, Matrox. “They [post-production professionals] can accurately judge 4K video content in its native resolution with 1:1 pixel accuracy and 10-bit color precision to craft breathtaking content.”
Other features of the card include its 3/4-length with five BNC connectors, SD, HD and 3G-SDI compatibility per SMPTE 259, 292 and 424/425M Level A and Level B mapping, and the ability to support up to 16 channels of SDI-embedded audio.
Solutions: The Matrox Mojito 4K video card can be used for applications that include systems that employ Adobe Creative Cloud post-production editing tools for Windows.
