In a move that diversifies its product line, the Lockbourne, Ohio-based manufacturer has announced its new four-bay Thunderbolt 2 RAID Enclosure (SKU: S354SMTB2R).
StarTech explains that through the use of the Thunderbolt technology platform, the four-bay RAID enclosure provides users with a storage solution that is capable of working with large, data-intensive files without sacrificing speed and functionality.
“Our Thunderbolt 2 quad-bay RAID Enclosure is the ideal external storage solution for creative professionals,” says Juliet Wei, senior product manager, StarTech. “It not only offers blazing-fast performance, and a sleek, sturdy housing, but [it] also supports multiple RAID modes and HyperDuo to optimize data protection, performance and drive capacity.”
The RAID enclosure incorporates features such as Thunderbolt 2, RAID O, 1, 10 support, HyperDuo support for near-SSD performance at HDD capacities, compatibility with SATA revisions I, II and III, and a built-in Thunderbolt daisy-chain port.
