Veteran residential custom loudspeaker manufacturer Leon Speakers has made a splash in the commercial integration world by offering its fit-to-order solutions as enhancements for video conferencing. Its HI500-MD speakers look slick situated above dual or quad flat-panel displays, and Leon cuts out room in the cabinet for single, dual or up to four cameras with cable management for a tidy installation. “It’s a simple solution, but nobody’s doing it,” says product design team member Mark Maynard. The Michigan-based company had an 83-inch wide speaker on display, as well as this one pictured that features partner Vaddio’s Reveal camera, which cut in behind a transparent window that can be turned “off” to hide the camera from view.
