As predicted by Tim Albright’s Forecasting Network Control Solutions and Microsoft’s Impact at InfoComm 2016 article, the race to the cloud as a control platform has begun.
The InfoComm show floor was filled with cloud-based systems, such as Pakedge‘s BakPak which uses a “fog+cloud” approach that features artificial intelligence to remotely scan, respond and react in real time to evolving network conditions.

ClearOne Spontania was also demonstrated at this year’s show, a cloud-based software that allows users to move their technology to the Spontania Cloud or implement the Spontania Cloud software into their own data centers. The Spontania Cloud software allows thousands of users to collaborate in real-time and share high-quality voice, video and data on any device.
Kramer also unveiled an entirely new cloud-based solution in Kramer Control that offers drag-and-drop configuration, works on any interface, on any operating system and is designed to cut customers’ automation costs significantly opening budgets up potentially for new rooms and applications.
