During its 2014 Business & Leadership Conference (BLC), NSCA officially named its new board members and its president-elect.
Michael Hester, NSCA treasurer and managing partner for Denver-based Beacon Communications will assume the role of NSCA president on July 1, 2014. He takes over for Ingolf de Jong, president and principal partner of General Communications, who assumed the president role in 2012.
Hester says he’s excited to, in his role as president, seize an opportunity to work with NSCA members and board members to “raise the industry up.” He adds that he’ll work with NSCA members to help them prepare for a new crop of customers that are “very sophisticated and very, very smart.”
NSCA also announced three additions to its board—Michael Boettcher, CEO of Advanced AV; Anne Sellers, managing principal of Sensory Technologies; and Paul Thomas, president of Northland Controls.
Meanwhile, Paul Cronin of Atrion, Catherine Shanahan of Shanahan Sound and Ron Pusey of Communication Specialists will end their terms as NSCA board members.
