Jupiter Systems Co-Founder and President Dies at 70

Jupiter Systems’ board of directors reports that Eric Wogsberg, co-founder and president, passed away on May 13 at 70 years old.

Wogsberg led Jupiter Systems for 33 years, guiding the company to pioneer collaboration and unified communications before the terms were buzzwords in the industry. With his leadership, Jupiter has become a global provider of collaborative systems to thousands of businesses and government agencies in more than 50 countries.

“Eric was a visionary and pioneer in the fields of graphics and collaborative visualization. He has been an inspiration to Jupiter Systems and its employees,” says Robert Worthington, COO of Jupiter Systems. “He will be missed, but we remain resolved to continue the expansion of Jupiter’s global presence as a tribute to our remarkable president and co-founder.”

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Eric’s wife and family. Eric was one of the most successful and beloved leaders in our industry. Everyone on the Jupiter team has been blessed by his vision, loyalty, and friendship during his 33 years with the company. He will be deeply missed,” says Jack Klingelhofer.

Klingelhofer, a company co-founder and a long serving member of Jupiter’s board of directors will become chairman of the board and Worthington will continue to manage the operations of the company until the board appoints Wogsberg’s successor.

Otherwise, the company’s day-to-day business activities and leadership will continue as usual.
