3-Chip DLP Barco Projector Produces Over 14,000 Lumens

Barco is a global manufacturer of video products in the commercial and more recently, the residential markets.

The Skinny: The company’s latest commercial solution is its newly announced RLM-W14 projector, which dealers can deploy in a number of situations to meet a variety of client needs.

The Specs: Barco says the projector delivers a WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) resolution and through its three-chip DLP array and dual-lamp system delivers up to 14,500 center lumens. The state-of-the-art projector also offers features such as active stereo 3D and HDBaseT to enable the projector to transmit content long distances over a single Cat-5 cable.

“With the launch of our new RLM-W14 projector, we’re not only expanding the brightness spectrum of our three-chip DLP RLM family—-now ranging from 6,000 to 14,500 lumens—-but we’re also meeting customer demands for brighter projectors in a compact and cost-effective form factor,” says Richard Marples, strategic market director venues & hospitality, Barco.

“Featuring a fresh projector design with an improved lens mount, the RLM-W14 also offers Active Stereo 3D, extended warping and blending, and comes with video over a single Cat 5 cable functionalities [HDBaseT] as standard. It achieves its 14,500 lumens with twin 465 W NSH lamps which next to being very affordable, offer long lifetimes,” he continues. “Thanks to these features, it’s perfectly suited for fixed installation in museums, theaters, houses of worship, hotels, lecture halls or conference auditoriums, as well as for the rental market.”

Barco also backs the projector with its Barco Projector Toolset software that is designed for the simple operation and management of its products, and the company adds, the RLM-W14 is compatible with its TLD lenses to save clients from having to reinvest into new lenses.

Solutions: Barco states the RLM-W14 installs into any number of commercial environments, including houses of worship, museums, hotels, lecture halls conference auditorium and theaters.
